Please care fully read the information below. It will help you prepare to apply for a student visa (F-1), prepare for traveling to the U.S. and to maintain legal status during your stay.

Prepare for Studies at SVOTS

If you have been accepted to an SEVP-certified school, such as St Vladimir's Seminary, you must take additional steps before you enter the United States.

As soon as you receive and accept your decision of admissions, you must fill out and submit a form called "Application and Financial Certification for Form I-20", along with evidence that you have enough financial resources to cover your study and living expenses for the first academic year. The Seminary will then issue your Form I-20, which will allow you to apply for a Student (F-1) visa.

If you are a married incoming seminarian, you may bring with you your spouse and children under the age of 21. They will receive F-2 (dependent) visas. Learn more here.
