New York Life

Life in New York state is exciting and fun, but can be rather challenging to navigate.
Here are a few lists and tips for how to take advantage of everything New York has to offer.

Airports

St Vladimir's Orthodox Theological Seminary is located within a 40-mile radius of three international airports and a domestic airport. We advise students to secure transportation to and from the seminary when traveling by air. Uber, Lyft, or a ride from a friend are good options. Public transportation is also available for JFK, LGA and EWR. Please do not accept transportation offers from people you do not know.

Tips for traveling to and from airports:

John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK): Allow at least one hour travel time. Pick-up at JFK can be tricky and usually involves traffic delays.
La Guardia (LGA): Most easily accessible out of the three major airports; a 30 to 50-minute drive by car via the Whitestone Bridge.
Newark Liberty Airport (EWR): Allow at least one hour travel time. When returning to the seminary, it may be faster to take the Governor Mario Cuomo Bridge instead of the George Washington Bridge.
